Gambian Projects Overseas was formed back in 2003 by a collection of like-minded friends in the UK. We want to provide support to communities across The Gambia.
G.P.O has made many friends over the last 19 years. We want to help establish self-sufficient and long-term projects across The Gambia. We want to continue helping communities but we can only do this with your help - we hope you can join us.

Our History
Since G.P.O was founded, we've helped communities across The Gambia; from Bakau to Soma with general supplies, teaching resources, building equipment, clothes, medical supplies, children's toys and so much more.
2003
A small group of adults and children travelled to The Gambia to visit a nursery school in Sinchu. Such was the impact of this visit that David Bennie founded GPO.
2005/2006
A new school was built in Sinchu Balia to accommodate the ever-increasing need for Early Learning Facilities in the country.
2020
A second classroom was finished at the school in Sinchu Balia.
Meet The Team
David Bennie
Founder & Chairman
David founded G.P.O in 2003 after visiting The Gambia as a Youth & Families Minister with a group from his church.
Gill Bennie
Gill joined G.P.O and coordinates physical donations, fundrasing and liaises with teaching staff in The Gambia.
